As part of the photo exhibition "Children in War Zones", the MigratieMuseumMigration invites you to a conference on Palestine, where personal narrative meets collective history.
Speaker: Dr. Shadi Saleh
A Palestinian from the Gaza Strip, Shadi Saleh will share his personal story — one of growing up in a conflict area and facing exile. His talk will explore:
- The evolving political and social landscape of Palestine
- Life in Gaza – with a focus on children and families
- The role of memory, identity, and storytelling
The talk will be followed by a Q&A session. Interpretation can be arranged if needed. Free and open to all.
Reservations are mandatory: [email protected]

Foyer is a non-profit with various services in Brussels that has been building a (more) intercultural and inclusive society, where everyone is respected, for more than 55 years. The MigrationMuseumMigration is the latest project of Foyer. MMM tells the story of immigrant workers, the first arrivals at the Little Castle, expatriates, refugees, Europeans who moved freely within the EU and all the others. It also pays tribute to the many migrants who have helped shape the city. The MMM radically opts for the power of personal stories. Memories and photos are in the centre.
