The Domain of the Battle of Waterloo 1815 was inaugurated in May 2015 as part of the commemorations of the bicentenary of the Battle of Waterloo. The Walloon region wished to preserve the integrity of the battlefield, so it was built underground. Today, this museum offers visitors over 2,000 m² of exhibition space. The gigantic model of more than 30m² shows the forces at work on the morning of the battle. The visit continues in the museum, through a succession of rooms, tracing the highlights of the French Revolution first, then Napoleon's contributions in the fields of science and politics. A brand new visitor application allows visitors to better understand the issues at stake and to combine the power of digital technology with the events of the First Empire. The tour continues via the rooms dedicated to the coalition wars between 1800 and 1814, before moving along a large "uniform alley" of more than 70 soldier mannequins that leads to the cinema.
